Description

The Cultural Foundation of the National Bank of Greece and the Department of Educational Programmes invite you on a journey from ancient times to the present day, to learn about the history of writing and books. Through a presentation that focuses on important milestones in the history of writing and books, students will understand how and why the need for recording began, observe specific examples of writing, understand the evolution of books through time, learn about how the first libraries were created, and realize their role in people’s daily lives. The program concludes with the creation of a page of their own book, with students presenting the texts or drawings they have created.
